Hank was just going to skip posting it 'cause the holidays had passed, but he's glad they made you laugh!

And yeah, a long-distance adoption just might be something they could handle. :=)

Oh ~blue I don't know if they're
seriously considering being daddies
in some way. But the more I think of
the healing potential for Ed the more
it feels so very perfect. I think of
his childhood and the way his heart
could never be there for Iris when
she was small. And now...

but think Hank has had a cunning plan in

You're right, it would definitely be a great healing potential for Ed, Or would have been anyways. But, I'm sorry to say, it was just a spur of the moment "What if things had been different" question on Hank's part (the kind of question Ed dreads :=) ) and there's no plan in the works for being daddies. :=( They will, however, continue to spoil the dogs and the cat rotten and spoil Iris rotten when she comes to visit too. :=)

I understand exactly what you meant - And it made perfect sense too. Ed's heart was going through some real hard times back then. And he loved Iris with all of his heart, but he couldn't always be all there for her the way he wanted to.

as always, that was awesome! i'm pretty sure i've mentioned it in previous comments, but "Ed & Hank" is my absolute favorite BBM fic. seriously.

incidentally.... i think ed & hank would've made great dads. once they finally got together & ed got a wee-bit more settled in his skin, i mean. (well, as much as ed COULD be settled, back then.) but yeah, i think they'd have been good fathers....and great dads! ;-)

Yeah. I think so too, and like you said, once Ed got as settled in his skin as he could be back then. Hank sure would have liked to have found out... But at least now he knows Ed would have if they could have.
