That sure seems to be the case, and Hank is real glad of it! And for Ed surprising him with this trip. And his singing. (Ed's got a much better voice than Hank.) :=)

I can't *believe* I missed this post for almost a whole week! All the more so as I need the smiles and the laughs... I'm laughing right now, figuring them actually bringing the horses to the seaside, and Hank waxing lyrical about the landscape, and Hank's horse starting to paw at the water and suddenly rolling in it before he can push him forward, and then Ed's horse following and both horses having the time of their life... (I had a horse once who, when he saw the sea for the first time, went all "For me? All that nice water?! WOW!")

Glad it made you smile and laugh! And I am laughing from your description of Ed and Hank both ending up in the ocean due to their horses flipping out with joy over seeing such an incredible expanse of water for the first time. (Now Ed will feel guilty about not getting them there... :=) ) And that must have been a truly incredible sight - watching your horse see the see for the first time.

Hank may have to work on Ed some more to try and convince him... He'll remind him of how great it was to watch their dogs see the ocean for the first time too.
