Must admit I've never thought about it. I'm just starting - a real newbie - mostly reading haven't really started writing yet but I find LJ good for getting book ideas.
G'day. Having one of those lazy, aimless evenings where you wander around livejournal finding interesting people. You brought joy into my life because I don't know anyone else who likes Fry & Laurie. And your book recs appeal to me. I'm incredibly slack at posting but would love to stalk you just a little bit. I mean.... friend?

Hi! I found your journal by doing an interests search for David Thewlis. I think I'd like to add you as a friend and be added back, if you don't mind, cos we have HP in common, procrastination, and we're both still at uni, doing yet another degree :-P What's yours in, btw?
Hmmmm... I don't know if any of my likes make your list of absolutely-vile-things-on-the-planet-that-should-be-erradicated, so mayhaps pop on over to my profile or eljay to see if you'd be ok with me spammin your f-list, on at least a tentative basis :-D

Sounds good!
I'm towards the end of a DPsych (=PsyD) in Neuropsychology - here, we specialise for our entire postgrad training, as opposed to getting a generic clinical psych doctorate and then specialising. It's a great degree, but man, I need a holiday.

Thanks for the add back! :-) If you ever decide that I'm made of boring and want to de-friend, I'll attribute it to something else to protect my ego :-D
I'm a lowly undergrad, getting a BA in psych. You might have to skip over my entries where I squee over really basic ideas in psych that I've just heard of.
So apart from loving Alan Davies, Stephen Fry, Douglas Adams, Hugh Laurie, Jeeves & Wooster, Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, Red Dwarf and Oscar Wilde, I'm also a huge reader of books and think you're rather groovy. Friends?
