Summary : Hyukjae meets his first love again in a reunion. But unfortunately that person is already with someone else. Will he finally let go of him after all this year? Or is he gonna fight to get his one and only love?
I finished this before "Let Me Hear Your Voice" and "Take Me Away" *gets shot*
Part 2 : To Finish the Unfinished Business
Hyukjae groans in annoyance as his sleep is disturbed by a phone call. “What the--?!?” he narrows his eyes to read the caller ID. Lee Sungmin. He sighs and try to collect his consciousness before he picks up, “Yeoboseyo?”
“Hyuk! Hey, what’s up?” Hyukjae can sense he is smiling on the other line. “Hey.. I’m doing good, Min. How about you? Where have you been?”
Sungmin chuckles, “I should be the one who ask that haha.. I see your dancing career rise well.” Hyukjae replies with a snort but he’s smiling gratefully. “By the way, you have received my email, right?”
“Yeah..” Hyukjae replies lazily as he now sits up. He has been avoiding this topic since yesterday when he received that email. And somehow Sungmin can read his best friend’s mind.
“Hmmm.. okay. Hyuk, we should meet up. So many things i wanna tell you and know from you. So.. coffee? You decide the time.”
“You sure? You’re a busy GM, Min.” They both chuckle. “Okay okay.. I think this Friday night i’m free.”
“Deal.”

Donghae already fell asleep in his bed when Kibum come home that night. It’s not that Kibum minds, but it’s just they have been busy with their own activities, so they rarely talk or even share about anything. I miss you Hae.. I miss talking to you. Kibum speaks on his mind while caressing Donghae’s brunette hair. And you owe me a story about your visit to your house. He smiles and yawns.
The next morning, Donghae already dress up again when Kibum wake up. Well actually it’s like that almost everyday, except when Kibum has a night shift in hospital. “Hae.. are you okay?” Kibum suddenly ask as he examines Donghae who looks a bit tired and somewhat.. lost.
“Eh? I’m perfectly fine, Bummie.. Why?” He fake a smile which not even reach his eyes. No, please don’t interfere when i’m not in the mood.
“I can see something’s bothering you, Hae. Wait.. this is not about your mom, isn’t it? How’s your mom? Is she fine?” He asks non-stop. But Donghae only smile as usual.
“Mom is fine, don’t worry. She said you must visit her if you have time. Anyway, you should eat the soup before it’s cold neh. I’m going now.” He winks playfully at Kibum as he takes his bag and key.
Kibum chuckles, “Fine.. Take care, Hae.” But...
“Hae...” Kibum calls again as Donghae click the knob. “Yes?”
“I miss you...” He says softly but then laughs at himself. But Donghae understand what he means, because they rarely talk these days.
“I know... I’ll see you again tonight neh.” Donghae gives him a reassuring smile before leaving.
Kibum smiles bitterly and sighs. How i wish you told me ‘i miss you too’ and then gave me a hug.

“So, how’s everything doing?” Sungmin starts the conversation rather seriously. They meet in a cafe, Sungmin with a glass of wine on his hand while Hyukjae with a cup of black coffee.
“Everything is okay.. It’s just i’m currently doing some kind of big projects at the same time. I’m tired.” Hyukjae slightly laughs.
“But you love your work anyway, Hyuk. You’re lucky.” Sungmin always thinks that Hyukjae is so lucky, having his passion as his job, earning money from thing that you really love to do, while he himself has to manage his father’s company instead of living his dream to become a musician. But he accepted it since long ago. Well, he still can play guitar or piano when he’s bored.
They chat randomly about their activities, family, and relationship. Sungmin shares his story about being paired with his parent’s friend’s daughter. Luckily the girl is nice. “But we still don’t know about our status haha.. I mean yeah.. we hang out together, but not in terms of dating, yet.” Hyukjae grins hearing his best friend story. He’s more than happy to hear that he has a girlfriend.
“The way you tell the story.. it seems you like her eh?” Hyukjae teases.
“I don’t know yet, Hyukjae-ah.” He grins then pause. “And how about you, Hyuk? You haven’t dated anyone eh? Why Hyuk? You know you need some fresh air sometimes...” Sungmin suggest while Hyukjae’s smile drop from his face. He slowly sips his coffee to ease his tense. He dislikes this topic but he knows Sungmin never intend anything. He’s just being a supporting best friend.
Sungmin knows about the reason why Hyukjae never dated anyone, being a close best friend he is since middle school. They stay silent for a minute until Sungmin again who interrupts the intense silence. “You know, Hyuk..? When i got the reunion invitation, i immediately remembered you. That’s why i make sure you know this event, and i want you to come with me.” He taps his shoulder. Hyukjae can sense where this conversation is going to.
“Min.. please don’t force me. And who cares about i’m coming or not?” Hyukjae tries to avoid the topic, because well yeah.. So what if he comes there? It’s not like that he would come there too, right? And if he came there, then what should he do?
“Hyuk, listen. I have managed to send the invitation to him.”
“You what?” Hyukaje widens his eyes in disbelief.
“Yes.. i have made sure he received the invitation. I’ve talked to the ahjussi who now stay in his house. He promised me to forward it to him.” Hyukjae only can shakes head, he can’t believe this. Sungmin has done this far? He knows his best friend so well, but.. never thought he would do such things.
“What are you trying to do, Min? Seriously.. what do you think i can do?” He mess his hair in frustration.
“Because you both need to finish the unfinished business. You both need to talk. At least this is for once for all. Or else you never move on, Hyuk... You know that. He owes you a lot of explanation why he left. If you never know that, you would still be buried on your past.” Sungmin wisely tell his best friend, and Hyukjae feels as if he’s being stabbed on his heart. Yes, you’re right, Min.
“I know how this matter has been bothering you these years. You can move on when you know the truth, Hyuk. And whatever it is.. you still have to face it.” Sungmin lower his voice and ruffles his hair brotherly. Hyukjae feels his throat ache and his body tremble now.
In the end, Hyukjae broke down. “Tell me what should i do now, Min... I hate myself for being like this. I never wanted this to happen to me... Tell me what to do, Min...” He covers his face, trying to bring out all of his emotions. Hyukjae never show his problem to other people, and it’s somehow frustrating. But now that he’s in front of his childhood friend, he thinks it’s time to pull off his mask. This is unbearable, he always wanted to cry out like this.
“Be brave. I know you’re not a coward, Hyuk. I will make sure he’s coming to the reunion, kay? Let him explain to you. Donghae needs to explain to you why he left you without a word few years ago.” Sungmins feels Hyukjae nods to his shoulder. He smiles in satisfied. I will do anything to make you cheer up again, Hyuk. Trust me, everything is going to be okay after that.
