A/n : well, i've been on hiatus bcoz my mom was sick, and i have to take care of her. I miss writing and posting! Okaay, i'm kinda itchy to write this story which is inspired by a scene from one of korean drama. Hope you read and like it! comments are loved (like Eunhae love)^^
Donghae can't stop grinning and giggling like an idiot ever since he and Hyukjae become a couple, well... a cute one. Donghae always thought that he fell in love with Hyukjae since the first he saw the crimson haired guy. He was on the way home from work by bus one day. Then he saw this pouty-lips guy standing in front of him while he was sitting on the seat. The bus was full, so Hyukjae was not so lucky that he didn't get a seat despite of his tiredness from the hectic schedule of work.
Donghae didn't realize how long he'd been staring at him until Hyukjae cleared his throat, seemed annoyed. Donghae smiled stupidly at him and spoke up, "Uhhh... you can have my seat." He stood up immediately motioning Hyukjae to have a seat. "Please..", Donghae added. Hyukjae looked at him confusedly, but he took the seat instead without saying thanks, only made a woman standing beside him glaring and get annoyed ("I should be the one who was offered that seat!", she thought). Meanwhile, Donghae was grinning from ear to ear.
Ever since that day, Donghae always searched the cute guy on the bus. "Fate will make us meet again" he thought confidently. Then one day after a week, he finally found his soulmate-to-be. But now he tried to act normally, didn't want to make Hyukjae annoyed and confused again. They finally had a conversation, getting known each other's name, and where they work. Hyukjae found out that Donghae was talkative, while he was a shy person.
After that, they would met eventually, having lunch together, going home together, and sometimes Hyukjae still felt annoyed when... you know, Donghae being Donghae, a flirtatious guy. But Hyukjae was kinda getting used to his childish attitude, and sometimes he found it funny. On the other hand, Donghae felt that when he saw Hyukjae's gummy smile, he fell in love with him over and over and over again. Until he couldn't stand it anymore.
Donghae confessed to him when he walked Hyukjae home, "Hyukkie... I.. I love you!". Hyukjae gave him confused look, blinking several times. Donghae scratched the back of his head, "It's okay... you don't have to answer it now. I'm leaving, see ya!" He waved and walked away, still facing Hyukjae who stared blankly at the fish boy.
Hyukjae didn't expect it, but he admitted that he liked Donghae, although he didn't know in what way. Hyukjae couldn't figure it out because he never thought that he liked guy, he never fall in love with anyone after all. But seeing Donghae smile always made him happy and feeling amused.
Days by days, donghae never stop giving Hyukjae so much care, and saying 'I love you' playfully sometimes. But one day, he finally asked him again. "I really love you, Hyukkie. Would you be mine?". Donghae practically jumped to him after Hyukjae nodded shyly and gave the other his beautiful gummy smile.
Donghae has asked Hyukjae to go to amusement park on Saturday. So here they are. And now that they are together, Hyukjae still act shy in front of his lover. But Donghae find it cute, that makes him want to pinch his cheeks.
After getting tired of screaming while playing roller coaster twice, they sit next to each other on the bench, panting and hands still intertwined. After catch his breath, Donghae manages to speak up, "You like ice cream, right Hyukkie? Wait here, okay? I'll get you one."
Hyukjae replies him with a squeal, "Oooh, I LOVE ICE CREAM!". But Donghae frowns at his statement, "So, you love ice cream, not me~", he whines.
"No, not like that. But you know i love ice cream..", Hyukjae giggles as he says the last sentence.
"Yeah, but you never say 'I love you' to me I always want to hear those words from you. But you just said you love ice cream instead of me. Why Hyukkie~?" Donghae pouts now.
"..."
"You only nodded or said 'me too' whenever i said 'I love you', it's distressing me, Hyukkie~", donghae still whines childishly to Hyukjae who seems not find out the right words to say. Well, he's too shy to spell those magic words. But he finally speak up.
"We had been discussing this topic a lot of times, Hae. You know i don't have to say it to let you know..", he says stubbornly.
"But still, Hyukkie.. I want to hear it from you~"
"No way!"
"Yes way!"
"Then buy me ice cream first." Hyukjae says unconvincingly. But Donghae smiles brightly after hearing that.
"Really? promise me?", then Hyukjae nods with fake smile, whispering "You wish, Hae!" to himself.
Donghae comes back with a strawberry ice cream in each his grip, but start to panicked when he sees no Hyukjae there. He turns his head to the right and left, wandering the whole place. "Hyukkie, where are you?", he shouts, starting to walk randomly.
A minute passes, but still he can't find his lover. He begins to look desperate, still gripping the ice cream which melt a little. "Hyukkie, where are you? I promise i'll never force you to say that...", he whispers more to himself. But he almost jump when someone take the ice cream from his grip. He sighs a relief when he see it is Hyukjae.
"Where have you been? You almost made me get heart attack, you know? I thought some aliens kidnapped you!", he says innocently.
But Hyukjae doesn't respond as he concentrate to lick his icecream, grinning. He suddenly turn his face to look at Donghae in the eyes, and speak up in low voice, "I.. Love...", he pauses a while, making Donghae look excited and smiling widely, anticipating the last word.
"..ICECREAM!", Hyukjae shouts it without a guilt, starting to lick his icecream again and walk away.
Donghae drops his head and sigh in surrender, but find Hyukjae's stubborn attitude amusing. so, he chuckles and reply, exclaiming loudly because Hyukjae a few meters away from him, "Okaaay... then I'll be an ice cream!". he says cheerfully and patiently as he catch up the walking Hyukjae.
Hyukjae finds Donghae's hand encircling around his neck. Both of them continue walking and eating ice creams. Until Hyukjae suddenly stop and look up at Donghae. "I love you, Hae!", Hyukjae manages to speak between his flushed red face. But he immediately look away and run off, leaving Donghae stares blankly and freeze, still in the same spot.
"Wait! Hyukkie!", he finally regain all his senses and run after Hyukjae. He catch his lover with wrapping his arms around his waist from behind. Then he whispers to Hyukjae's ear, "Thanks, Hyukkie. I love you too!".
