So I caught a cold and almost died

All right, so that may be a slight exaggeration. But let me tell you, it's not much of one! My immune system is masochistic, I swear. While it takes people, what? a week? week and a half to get a cold and get over it, it takes me 36 - 48 hours. It's like, "Hmm, I think she's getting a cold. Well, let's open this puppy up and get it over with." No freaking joke, you guys. All those symptoms of a cold that are annoying but bearable for the normal cold length time get combined and thrown at me all at once. I did not move from the couch yesterday except to pee. And eat. Oddly enough my appetite wasn't effected. Of course not.

The only up side to the way my body works in these things is that I'm back up and fairly normal two days later. Like today I feel about 90% back to my normal self. So that's good. But man those two days are a killer!

Oh! I lied. I did have to get up once. To catch a wasp that came in through the air conditioner.

I saw it come in and fly around and all I could think was, "Really?" So I found a big tupperware container, waited until it landed on the wall, tried to catch it and ended up squishing it against my Scottish Lion flag, and watching it die slowly and painfully. Had I been feeling better I might have cared more. Maybe.

Probably not.

I hate wasps. Anything that can cause me even the slightest amount of physical pain receives no love from me. Plus I have only been stung once in my entire life and it was a wasp that did the deed. Evil little buggers.

So now I have a crap ton of dishes to do and need to get back into writing/editing. I may have been down but those others that live in my head most certainly were not. Both Cavalon and June are fighting for my writing attention.

*sighs* Oh, the weird life of a writer.

On another note, I decided to to go with Applejack's color scheme instead of Twilight's. It's a little less obtrusive. Do I care that it doesn't match the banner? No, not really.
