It makes me sad that I'm an old man who couldn't stay up late enough to watch Conan's final run on Late Night. I'm watching the last episode on Hulu right now and it's making me all sorts of nostalgic. How did we get so grown up? When did Conan become the heir to the Tonight Show throne?

erik, i regularly go to bed at 9:30. if i were taking metamucil, i could probably qualify for social security. i could probably tell my students these days about the "good old days" when sr. armstrong could stay up to even watch conan. they'd stare at me wide-eyed and with gaping mouths, listening patiently so i could blow their minds with more strange stories of the past, when their teacher was a real person.

eh, who am i kidding, my students wouldn't listen patiently if i paid them.
