I just finished reviewing a manuscript that my supervisor was asked to peer review for a pretty big name immunology journal. he asked me to do it, and it's been weighing on me all week. closest thing to christmas i've done is eat lemon squares and drink sherry with mike's grandma. i'm so not doing christmas at all this year. no presents. no apologies. no nothing. and strangely enough i'm only feeling the slightest bit of guilt. slack and yet still succeed!
perhaps we can have an non-denominational gift exchange when I get back on the 28thish? i'm going to need to go to vic by my lonesome on the 29th to rescue the monster, so if you feel like making a day trip to the island i'd love the company. i TOTALLY understand if you blow me off for cells. they can give you fame and fulfillment in ways that i can't even dream of.
