good friend = you always listen to people when they need someone to vent to and you always find a way to make them feel better...you're always there when they need you, and if you're not there you leave where you are to get there (depending on the person and how close)...and most importantly i think, you're loyal to your friends, if someone talking smack about one of them no matter how close or distant, if they're a friend, you stick up for them
