I found this and had to share. If any of you are familiar with Amebix this is right up your alley. The Baron who sung for Amebix throughout their entire 10 year existence moved to an obscure island off the coast of the UK and now makes mideval weapons. Yeah thats a pretty fair comparison ecspecially lyricaly. Musicaly I think they sound like Motorhead playing crust

So many bands use that phrase (no gods no masters).

Very true Catharsis used that phrase, Choking Victim used a variation "No Gods No Managers" the list goes on and on. But it doesn't stop there Godspeed You Black Emperor wrote a song called "The Dead Flag Blues", in it there is a line "the car is on fire and there's no driver at the wheel" Amebix wrote a song called Nobody's Driving with remarkably similar lyrics. I could go on and on, but instead check out the Amebix record Monolith it's the last full length they recorded and it is ESSENTIAL.

I looked into that for you, apparently this particular record has gone out of print again since I picked up my copy, and sells from anywhere between $25 and $40 on ebay or amazon. Yeah forget that way too much for a cd. They have a record called "Arise" that Alternative Tentacles re-released that you can find easily for a reasonable price. Feel free to just download "Monolith" off of me via "Get Files" on AIM my aim= Beard of War. I have 3 Amebix records shared including Monolith and Arise (that is listed as untitled) and over 100 gigs of various other music, take whatever you like.
