And, yeah. There are some definite problems with some church doctrine. You highlighted the three that I have the most issues with. I had no idea that opposing racism and condemning homosexuality were in the same sentence though. That's very illuminating.
Thanks for the interesting read... I'll see you in UH.
I hate that they're in the same sentence. I can't beLIEVE they're in the same sentence. Were this 1848, I think these people would be sending hate mail and death threats to Frederick Dougless and Elizabeth Cady Stanton for, you know, rebelling against God's natural order by working torward social change.
It makes me sad too. It hurts that the fairy tales of the dogma endure, but the true hate spawned by wicked interpretations doesn't see the light of day. Like the trial of Anne Hutchinson. That's exactly where we are with these people. We are right back to Anne Hutchinson. No progress with religous zealots, no progress whatsofuckingever.
I agree with your sentiments...but uhm, what does IAWTP mean?

I don't have all the answers, that's for sure, but I am positive that the answer is not in any religious texts.
In conclusion: IAWTP
