[Myhrta's hands are glowing faintly green when the feed comes on. She's sitting at the bridge, her feet dangling in the water. She looks a little rough - her hair is all in disarray, a few fresh bruises are purpling under her skin. A few red splashes can be seen on her armour.

Ghi-- Ghia-- [ Trying to repeat that isn't going to work pronounciation-wise, so Ahiru opts for the easier option. ] Tree spirits? What are those?

... Are you alright? You don't look so good.

[Myhrta smiles.]

'Gilly Doo'. They're protectors of the forest. They mark trees we're allowed to use for our own benefit, without rousing the wrath of the rest of the forest.

And don't worry about me. It's just a couple of scrapes. [And a festering bite on her leg that she's healing now...]

Gilly Doo! [ A proud look appears on her face. Clearly this is an accomplishment. ] Wow, it's nice of them to do that for us though! They really don't mind if we'd use those?

I've heard the forest is pretty dangerous, so.. I'm glad it isn't something really bad.

Only the ones they say we can! They mark the bark with a leaf symbol.

[The green light appears again around her hands as she speaks.]

It is quite a dangerous place. Thankfully I didn't have to go terribly far in before I came across one.

There are many things. The trees themselves are animate in a way many do not think of.

[She then gives Konan a smile.]

For better or worse, it looks as though Fae activity is on the rise.

[His tone indicates the closest she'll ever get to a 'hey, thanks for sticking your neck out.']

I will speak with our blacksmiths, and see if there are any volunteers to gather lumber.

[The audio feed lingers for a moment longer, the words he wants to say forming in his head, but he cannot bring himself to ask her for help in regaining his connection to the elements.]

We should be thankful the tree folk are still asleep. The forest seems far easier to navigate than usual.

I caution whoever goes to collect lumber to take only the trees marked with the symbol of a leaf.
