If love were meant for people, they would be incapable of hate...

No longer can we hide from who we are We’ve traveled nowhere, but still too far And what we’ve become and fallen from Leaves us empty, cold and dumb What was left behind to warp our minds Is but a memory of a time That we could love.
I can’t control the things we’ve said Put behind us, all but dead Our hearts struggling on life support But it’s a mission I can’t abort You’re still a part of what I live Still, I wade in pain I can’t forgive But I can love.
No more letters or heartfelt to talks Left with memories I cannot block And I can imagine part of you died When you woke up and realized You never knew just what love could be And for our time you forced me free And we loved.
