This past week has been a blast with nothing really to complain about. I mean, of course, I’m not quite where I’m supposed to be yet - but we all need things to aim for now don’t we? Yes, yes we do.  So here’s what we’ve been up to.

Maelstrom: Maelstrom was awesome.  There’s far too much of it that is foip, but it was excellent to see maelstrom ( Read more... )

Wooo! I am impressed.
I struggle with the five, some days, too. One thing that helps is to remember that ONE of the five can be a glass of fresh fruit juice, and ONE can be dried fruit. I am completely obsessed with dried fruit, so getting in a glass of orange juice in the morning and a mid-morning snack of a handful of dried apricots (OM NOM NOM scmrugffff) is two down, right there... then a banana in the middle of the afternoon when the blood sugar level crashes, and veggies at tea time...

PS: I don't think you need to lose weight. And I was checking you out like the perve I am. ;)
On the other hand, grey is a *very* toning colour ! :D

I can't eat dried fruit. I don't like the texture sadly. The banana mid afternoon works well for me. I have apple juice in the morning, and I have veggies at lunch time.

I tend to eat small at tea time sadly... it's currently my worst meal.

I need to train myself... Or find my juicer. I think it went the way of the recycling centre when I moved from Shrewsbury though sadly.

Things like vegetable soup are good for this as well.

Also, bear in mind portion amounts. A 'portion' of peas, for example, is about a handful. Same for grapes. So if you have really large portions of some things they may count as more than one portion.

What time are you eating at 'tea time'? It may be you are eating too early. Try for a more continental '8-9pm' dinner time as you may find you are more hungry at that point.

It's usually about 8pm anyway as I rarely get in before 6:40.

I usually have something teeny like a sandwich. I think my problem is, I rarely get hungry. I've got a huge appetite... but only when I remember.

Baco-foil the chair. Sounds mad, looks extrodinarily odd, can be rather noisy - gets the cats out of a bad habit very quickly.

and, added bonus, you have an immediately accessible source of hat material to protect from the aliens.

The three funniest things in the world:

Wet cats
Cats pretending that they didn't just fall off something
Cats who hate you.

Baco-chair gives two out of three which, as the fat man says, "ain't bad". If you can just get a cat that needs training out of spitting through the use of a water-pistol (as we did when I was a kid) then you have all three and all the yucks you shall ever need.
