Thanks! Cats and birds are a perilous combination, no? Our neighbor has several birds but a stray cat "adopted" her and now lives in the house, too. So far it has worked out, it seems, although I am sure she watches him like a hawk because he has caught birds outside.
Rowan is such a little doll. And what a gorgeous white cat! I couldn't get a good look at the darker one. I really have never seen a cat I didn't find beautiful, though. Little living works of art.
I am perilously close to being nosy about 'the new hire'. You have me all geared up for the drama ; ) Good storytelling!
Oh, go and be nosy--I encourage you! I am glad I have an audience for the work situation. *smiles* I am thinking of having Sheryl send me flowers the day Heather starts. Something big and showy so people can ask me what they are for....LOL.
Pic spams of Rowan should come with a warning: too cute for words. Awwwww, he's so sweet. And he looks so tiny next to Louise and Ricky.
I look forward to seeing your woodland garden pic spam. It doesn't look like I'll be having much of a garden this year. Our weather turned from too much rain to too much sun. What a punk growing season :(
In other news, have you read my new fic ("Bound") yet? Just thought I'd mention it in case you were working today. :)
I think you should read it at work. And have someone standing by to take a picture so I can see your reaction. *evil grin*
I was going to break down and buy a bunch of perennials to add a bit more colour to the yard, but the selection at the nursery was crappy. The plants look half dead. I wouldn't take them if they gave them to me. On the positive side, however, I don't have much weeding to do. :)
I look forward to gardening vicariously through your photos.

I'd like to have a kitty too but I don't think my parrots would appreciate it ;)

Thanks for thinking of me here at work....If I don't get to it tonight, it will most definitely be work lunch reading tomorrow!
Sorry to hear about your lost gardening pleasures. I'll be happy to share our garden joy with you. :) I'll visit you later with pleasure!
*hugs, love and growing things*
