LJ-versary for me and board games

Congrats on the LJ anniversary.

While you've not posted a lot here over the last while, hopefully you'll decide to start doing so more frequently.

The traditional anniversary gift is candy or iron.

So, have an Iron Candy to celebrate your LJ milestone!

The phrase "outboard brain" conjures up a charming two-stroke sound effect. No speculations as to mental horsepower on the principle of "glass houses".

I enjoyed both quite a bit, though for GtR, I wish I'd managed to explain some key points rather better, in particular the different functions of the cards. And note to self: stash more stuff in the vault. A lot more stuff!

With Small World I was a little skeptical beforehand about the "theme respray", but not only is a better-looking game, it seemed a little bit better-crafted in terms of the game mechanics of the "powers". (As best as I can recall from Vinci way-back-when.) If only the "declining" signs were just a little bit more distinguishable under 20W of high-ceilinged CFLs, for those of us with -12ish vision correction...

Happy LJday! Do you get "the dumps" or something like that? Cake? *licks lips at talk of cake*
