Stanislav Petrov Day
I like to remember Stansilav Petrov and his bravery on this day in 1983. He risked his career and did not follow Soviet Air Force doctrine that would have led to a nuclear war.
Thank you, Colonel Petrov, and thanks to all the other people who over the years chose sanity over nuclear madness. -

Medieval Day Out

Recent (ok not so recent) boardgame sessions
Back at the beginning of July Alai and I played Lost Cities and I was handed my ass. Final score 37 to 7. Later in July we pulled out Ticket to Ride: Europe and Alai triumphed again. Final score Alai 135, Myles 113 and Sam 56.

Dave's Mapper
This site is just wonderful. I stumbled across it from the Free RPG Blog. Dave's Mapper simply generates dungeons and caverns from the various sets of geomorphs made by D&D fans out in internetland. It's fab.
