I've been INSANELY busy these past couple of weeks. My musical, Oklahoma, opened last night and I was busy working on props and costumes. When a cosplayer gets involved with a theater company, it's all over. Speaking of which, I need to ask my director for my reimbursement for a costume I made...
My personal costume behind the cut!
I'm not wearing the proper shoes because they're character shoes and I didn't want to run around the gymnasium wearing them until I had to. If we get some video, I'll be sure to post links. It's an AMAZING show. Probably the best I've ever been in, though that's not saying much. I'm auditioning for Sabrina Fair next. I'm SO excited about that one.
In writerly news, I was nominated for two awards at
SKoW!!!! To Feel the Sun was nominated for Punk'd and Best Love Triangle! I am SO excited for this, and I'll let you all know when the voting begins (though I'm sure most of you reading this already know all about SKoW awards). I've gotten such an overwhelmingly positive response for To Feel the Sun that it really, really means a lot to me that the story was nominated.
And I've gotten some very awesome ConCrit too, that I'll keep in mind for future stories (since I don't think I'll ever go back and thoroughly edit to Feel the Sun.). I want to write Dream Brother so bad, but I just don't have any time. Yay for musical theater eating my soul!
