Perhaps you listen for what you want to hear, or what you think you will hear even though it is seemingly not what you would like to hear. Selecting truths. Or maybe you are hearing all correctly but failing to see the obvious ambigious nature of the album. Granted, there are tragically sobering views on love, but the CD is not a tradgedy, or you would be listening to "When the Pawn...", for the only difference my dear, at least in Fiona's life, is not that she views love any differently in this album, but that she has accepted the fact that she is constantly torn. Acceptance, the album is about learning about oneself and being happy with the fate you've chosen soley because you chose it. The album is a celebration of decision-making, whether right or wrong, whether full of forward motion or regret, making decisions in order to attempt to find what is best for yourself and those close to you. Maybe this conniving vixen relates not so much to the songs in their entirety, but to the changes Fiona underwent in the six years between the ( ... )
