Very nicely done. It remnds me a lot og Steven King's novel "Needful Things".

I'm glad you liked the story! (Admittedly, I've never heard of that particular King novel, but now I'm going to look it up) =D Thanks for commenting!

Oh there's a Twilight Zone episode with this premise! I'm not sure if that was intentional or not, but I thought you might find that cool if you didn't know already. I don't remember the exact details... But similar! How fun!

Ooh, really? How neat! (I admit, I've never actually seen a Twilight Zone episode...but it's super-high on my to-watch list! That's a cool coincidence...I first thought to go with a traveling salesman story after we got the topic, and tried to work in some creepy twists from that. The homage to the 'twist-style endings' was definitely intentional, though.

Ah, so that's how Magical Mr. Mephistopheles came to be in his service... one could see how was bound to meet his match some day. No one puts one over on the powerful Mr. S. Fabulous telling of this tale.

Yes, exactly. Although I doubt if he came to the door with his full name on the business card people would be quite so willing to let them in their houses xD

Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment!
