First I darken my original image a lot, I always do this but at different amounts cause each picture is different. Just go into ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Brightness/Contrast ) and lower the brightness.

1. Make a Level Layer ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Levels )

RGB
Input: 0, 1.74, 255
Output: 0, 255

2. Make a Color Fill Layer ( Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Color )

#d6bd66 exclusion at 45%

3. Make a Brightness/Contrast Layer ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Brightness/Contrast )

Contrast at 63

4. Make a Selective Color Layer ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color )

Red
-100 +20 +28

Yellow
-16 0 +31 0

Whites
+44 -39

5. Make a Color Balance Layer ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance )

Midtones
-26 -12 -11

Highlights
-10 -15 -8

6. Make a Hue/Saturation Layer ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation )

Saturation +15
