Our cat Sydney died suddenly last night. We don't yet know what happened, just that Ben found her last night and she had already died. I don't even know what else to say, we are all so devestated. She was 7 and a half years old. Here's a cute picture I found of Syd on our trip west last summer

My cat Hidee died when she was 9, much the same way. My dad just found her asleep in the rocking chair where she always was, and it took him a while to realize she wasn't sleeping. Although with Hidee, she was horribly overweight, so even though it was sudden and unexpected, it wasn't hard to figure out.

I'm so so sorry. I remember meeting Sydney when she was a kitten, and I know how much you both loved her. I'm sending you both telepathic hugs. It's ten shades of suck sweetie. I hope it gets better for you as quickly as it can.

That does truly suck and my condolences to you.
I don't think I ever got to meet Sydney, but you definitely made me get up and hug the fuzzy one in our house.
