Wow. Can't believe I'm almost up to date wit Mentalist! It helps that SPN was in hellatus, so that I could concentrate more on this series. So aniway, theer are a couple of interesting observations that are, observationally interesting.
- This is the first time I see Jim Beaver in a non-SPN capacity. He was in the fifth episode, the one about the horses, and yes, now I could truthfully say that he does have some stellar acting chops, enough to make his character differ from Bobby Singer. This is the one thing that I consider a mark of good acting, really. If I can see the character and not the actor, then that means that the actor is doing his job well, right?
- They pose a re-occuring arc about this company called Visualise, and it mirrors the Scientology religion actually. Wow, they dared to mock that religion! Aren't they afraid the higher-ups might give them some trouble over that?
- I'm beginning to develop quite a liking to Hightower, although her name reminds me of one of the cadets in the Police Academy series LOL And Jane kissed her, and I adore her reaction to that! It was so sweet!
- If I correctly gauge the timeline it means that about four episodes into the third season it's been four months since the finale of the second season. Hmm. No reason, other than to think about how long Rigsby and Van Pelt actually broke up before they both start dating again. I feel sorry for Rigsby because Grace was the one who initiated it, but I'm glad that she got an FBI boyfriend! I just hope they aren't using that to develop a storyline about how she felt that she never really go on the field and decided to transfer to FBI or something. And the chemistry between the both of them isn't as explosive as before. Wonder why.
- I would like at least something going on with Hightower and Jane! Hahahahaha. Or maybe Lisbon and Jane. They are both adorable. Oh what am I saying. I'll be happy if Jane starts dating! The psychic is a good candidate, but she's 'dead'. *shrugs*
And continuing the season soon...
