Take a breather - SPN S6E16 Eppy Rewind

Wow. Watching the episode on livestream is a big rush!

A bloody x3 massacre, if you don't count the other unnamed, non-important  victims.

I feel so sorry for the Campbell family. I admit I was liking Gwen a little when she went out to find Dean for the whole story, but then she had to die. And Dean killed her in cold blood. Well, he was sort of possessed at the time, but yeah. And really, Dean. Going for a walk in the same vicinity of the monster is such a great idea. When he went off by himself, I was already shaking my head. And Sam only have 'D' as his brother's name? That's so funny!

I feel sorry for Grandpa Samuel too. He was just trying to get his daughter back. BUT, he shouldn't have sold Sam and Dean out. You know what would happened. I don't like him, but I understand him. And being killed by the other Winchester brother, that's just some twist. That jab about Bobby pretending to be their father? THAT'S MEAN. And you see, karma bites you back!

Although Samuel's role in the mythology seems to be the puppet to bait the brothers, no? A means to an end. He was killed in 5x04 so that the YED can possess him and made the deal with Mary. When he returned, he was a lackey to Crowley, and now, the monster whatever-it-is crawled into him just so it could deliver a message to the Winchesters. *shakes head*

I'm so sad that Rufus died! I'm partially spoiled, in that I saw some spoiler pics, but I didn't want to believe it. Haha. And I was getting used to him too, after 6x04. Cranky old man, but you know, dependable. And it warms my heart when Bobby said they used to be partners! And that Rufus was the one who saved him from his wife. Things like that, I supposed it transcended even arguments and forgiveness, or non-forgiveness in this case. Can you imagine them younger, travelling around the country. I think Rufus might be a younger Dean? And Bobby would be the rational one, like Sam. Was this why Dean was his favourite? :) Wonder what happened in Omaha, as in details. We only heard something about Bobby getting a woman killed. Why do a lot of things happen in Omaha? What's so special about the place? Can anyone enlighten me?

And I supposed Bobby was quite torn up about Rufus dying, since he was the one with the bloodied knife. Would he ever forgive himself? I think that's the most important thing. Even if everyone in the world forgive you, but you can't do the same thing to yourself, no amount of empathy or sympathy or understanding can get past that.

Oh, and possessed!Bobby gives me the chills. He's evil and intimidating even when strapped to the chair. Good job, Jim Beaver.

There's a good bit of parallel in here. Dean killed Gwen, Sam killed Sam(uel), and Bobby killed Rufus. And only one of those kills are justifiable. That's just heartbreaking.

And wow. Dean and Sam are BAMFs this episode! A lot of threatening and shooting and killing and electrocuting and hard decisions. And I find BAMFs very very sexy. LOL These boys are hardened hunters, although I always forget that because of their age. They do what they have to do, even electrocuting themselves, which, by the way, won't that bring back bad memories of the happenings in Faith? I want h/c fic on that! :)

I wonder what happened to Gwen and Samuel's body. Don't tell me they were left there just like that. Seems like Rufus rates higher in these boys' minds than the Campbells, which I'm not surprised. Blood really doesn't mean family. But I hope for show to at least give me some clues about what they did. And if there's repercussions from the remaining Campbells. It'll be interesting!

Long long rewind. I'll stop here and read others' thoughts. Always interesting to read other people's thoughts right? *waves*
