Fandom: Supernatural
Genre: Gen
Rating: PG-13 for a lot of the F words. It's weird (for me, at least) but fun to make them cuss so much.
Word count: ~4, 700

Spoilers: This is an AU, so no spoilers! However, this is set a year before the canon-pilot, so all the Winchesters' reactions are in compliance to the

This was EPIC. In so many ways. So many. I couldn't read it fast enough the first time, and then I went through it a second time and tried to take it slower, really soak it in, but the same thing happened, I raced through it because I just wanted to get it all into my head as quick as I could, so many images and words that I wanted to commit to my mind because they were so good.(Ha-ha, I need to quit saying "so good," find better adjectives to describe what I think about this ( ... )

This is simply so sweet of you, thank you so much. This is one of the highest compliments a writer can get, and I'm thrilled that you are so pleased with my response to your prompt.
I think my favorite part, the part that did me in was when they got John's body and then washed it...
That's one of my favorite parts too, especially because I think the should have shown an actual scene of that, and that it comes from a personal experience.
I love that there are so many open avenues to explore in this storyI didn't intend to write it that way, but after it was posted I reread it again and thought that the ending was a little open-ended, so yeah, who knows right ( ... )

Thank you so much for reading. I didn't mean to write it so sad, but I'm still glad it managed to evoke you into feeling what and how the character feels. I hope it wasn't too traumatising! :)

His grief is so sharp and fuzzy all at the same time, I want to hug him.
I want to hug him too! I always thought that Dean's grieving would be a mixture of sharp and blurred, and that sometimes he wasn't himself, and I was afraid it might be a little out of character, but it's great that you didn't think so!!
Thanks for reading! *hands you a Kleenex*

Dean's desire for numbness, his blaming himself, his anger at Sam--all fit right in to Dean as we know him from the show.
And his decision to go with Sam and Jess is also in character.
I was crying as I read.
I wonder what would happen in this universe with Sam and the YED? Would Jess still have to die? You open so many possibilities with this, I wouldn't mind more.
And for the record, I usually don't get excited about AUs.

Yes, I'm glad you find it all in character! I was afraid that it might be a little off.

I'm not sure as well LOL Didn't realise I've written a rather open ending, so it can go either way, we'll see! I'm glad the story intrigued you so much!
