The Four Horsemen

So, as it turns out, the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" aren't all bad. The first horse, the White one, represents Christ and the all the good that he'll bring to the world. Boy, I am sure am glad it's explicit about that, and wasn't written in such a way as to confuse readers of the Bible who didn't have the time or ability to be theologians for the past couple thousand years. Always good for clarity and unambiguity, that Word of God.

OK, that's probably a little bitter.

I was basing my statement off of the Oxford Annotated Bible: New Revised Standard Version. Most of the time I go strictly by the NRSV because it is a bit more balanced and more scholarly...I'm intrigued by this finding of yours. What translation is it? As far as the ruler and warrior aspect, that is also found in mine. The White horse is not a wholly peaceful character.

I don't know about Revelations but the book of Revelation most certainly is...(sorry, minor pet peeve of mine...)
Going with the divine inspired word of God, written down by man approach I think one day God was sitting up in Heaven and thought "hummm silly humans so obsessed with when and how the world will end...they screwed up translation of what my son was going to be like let's really fuck with their minds"
