Doris isn't speaking to me. Apparently, I said something insensitive yesterday. What exactly? I have no idea. All I said was she needed to get over it, she has no right to be upset about what's going on with him ( Read more... )

Here's the thing about me. I sympathize with my friends. But once I have heard the same shit over and over, it gets hard to continue to sympathize.

i am the same damn way.

My best friend Todd has a way of delivering harsh reailty. But he kinda does it so matter-of-factly that you can really find yourself not caring about something that was really bothering you. But the big thing is that after you whine about something too long, you'll get "Oh come on! Are you STILL thinking about that? You have really got to let that go!" And you can't even try to keep talking about it at that point, cause he'll just be like "Alright, just watch the anime!" or "Let's just find something else to think about" or something. He's good with the distraction ( ... )

You get points for the Scrubs reference, as it is my favorite show! And yes, I agree. I tell my friends constantly that I would rather them tell me the truth, regardless of how harsh it may be, than tell me what I want to hear for the sake of things. They all say the same to me, but when it comes down to it, they tend to get upset when I do.

And no, I am not quite that independent! I'm not sure I would want to be that independent! haha. However, if you knew me a year ago, I have come a long way. (I'm known for my ranting, also, so rant away!)

Well, oddly enough, the past few months, from playing Final Fantasy XI, I've learned to be willing to ask people for help when I never would before. (The whole game is built on getting full party's together and doing stuff, so there's a ton in there that you can't solo) So being less independent is sorta a recent lesson for me too, even though it's just in the game.

Hey, if I get lost? I'd probably stop and ask for directions now!
