Moving/ Art School/ Life/ Update/

I'm moving to Milwaukee on the 15th, where I'll be attending MIAD. Paint splattered grounds, the smell of oil paints, spray paint, and saw dust equals some kind of wonderful. Milwaukee is one of my favorite little cities, filled with genuine good natured folk. The school itself felt really cozy instantaneously. I'm excited to get my hands dirty

i love being on the water and hiking as well.. wish i had more hills and mountains here.. florida is SO FLAT!

i also really want to go to art school.. but the thought of leaving my home right now makes it feel wrong. i hope there is a time when it feels right.

It's really really flat here in Wisconsin too! though there's a lot of amazing forests and nature to explore, lots of running streams, LAKES, and tall old trees creaking in the wind, it's very inspiring in so many different ways. Canoeing is my own personal piece of utopia.

I could have started college yearsss earlier but the timing didn't feel exactly rite either, time has a way of working out and making sense of things, so I'm sure when the moment is more comfy for you it will be an easier choice :]

!!! i'm actually going to MIAD next year! when i visited i was overwhelmed by how friendly and down-to-earth everyone was. are you going in as a freshman?

!!! haha Amazing! once you start we should definitely grab lunch sometime!
Yesss I'm starting as a freshmen, I've never really had any art education so it should be pretty interesting, i'm figuring i'm going to have to draw a lot of fruit bowls and cones or something... Though in the long run of things I'd like to end up in Illustration, and taking some print making classes.

Have to ask, was your admissions councilor a red headed beardy man with tattoos and a penchant for perching on chairs?

oh hey! i'm starting next year as a sophomore, and i'm going into illustration! we may be taking classes together and eating lunch together! and my counselor was a pale lanky dude named bob. he told me to "draw more cats!" when he looked through my portfolio :)
