I just finished Atlas Shrugged. It took me three months of sometimes-off-but-mostly-on reading to do it (longest for any book ever in my life), but it was more than worth it. So my recent forays into the music world to find new awesome bands to listen to have grown increasingly less successful. I'm getting depressed, because it means that I may have an entirely to extensive knowledge of my favorite genres. My new favorite thing is when you pre-order a CD and get something free with it. I'm getting T-Shirts from The Classic Crime and Hoobastank via that route, plus free shoelaces (shoelaces? wtf?) and an autographed CD insert booklet from Run Kid Run. So most of my friends from Bradley went home today. Oddly, the fact that school there is over only intensifies my regret over having missed the last three months of it. So get this. My brother's friend's dad just called me and gave me a job cleaning offices. His name is Mr. Busby, which is much easier to type than "brother's friend's dad". Anyway, I go and try it out for two days, working about 8 or 9 hours. I get paid 20 bucks and hour. That's 160 a day. That's about as much as I made in a week and a half ( Read more... )
