Computer wizes.....HELP ME OUT

Whenever I visit a webpage that has media on it, like mp3's or animation, a faded out quicktime "Q" pops up with a question mark in front of it. It's very annoying and really limits what I can do. I've tried reinstalling quicktime but that doesn't work. I uninstalled it, it worked out, but then itunes doesn't work. I reinstalled mozilla...

then, try finding your browser preferences and setting your "default media player" to windows media player, not quicktime. quicktime blows anyway.
