hahaha, yesterday at work i broke up a fight. It was hilarious, ive never done anything like that before. It was kinda wierd because just before, and even during it i was think to myself, "man, i hope im not stepping outside my authority while doing this. dont wanna get fired." geez, isnt that the modern day poltics of teaching/working at a public

Seriously. At the school where I work, you can't even make a kid stand in the corner because it's considered corporal punishment. You can't make them write lines either. And that's ok for me because I have a kindergarten class, but it must suck for you. How the hell DO you punish them?? I'm even scared to move when they hug me because I'm afraid of breaking another stupid rule. Public schools are stupid.

ya for reals, its like you have both hands tied behind your back. Its a tough deal when you constantly second-guess what youre doing, not because of its effectiveness but because you might possibly be offending somebody or something stupid like that. Unfortunately i know that as i get higher in the system everything that i do is going to be magnified more and more.

Hopefully the elementary school system is more tolerant than the high school system.
