...my heart goes out to the family and friends of Natasha Richardson. The world has lost a very wonderful and loving woman. I always admired her verve in the pursuit of a cure for AIDS.
Poor Liam Neeson. I can't imagine what he's going through right now. I have a friend, Mike, whose mother just passed away. She'd been battling cancer for a while, ( Read more... )

I was quite upset about Natasha Richardson. So vibrant, lovely, and young. What a silly way to go. A simple fall, with no hint of danger. It'll make lots of people wary of skiing lessons I bet!
I just couldn't believe it. Usually you fall on your bum and they say, "Get up and fill in the hole."

My sister, who is in nursing school, called to tell me that Natasha had died. Whitney said that serious head injuries happen way more often than you'd think, and that any time a person suffers a head injury - and especially if they lose consciousness, even for a few seconds - they should immediately go the hospital, and not take any chances.

But I agree - so vibrant, young, and lovely. Such a loss.
