Considering the information you learned in the introductory post at claytonzjones answer these questions about the character you'd like to play. Hmm, actually yeah. Potion making would actually be something cool, but I'll think a bit more into that one. But for the time, just strike Fire from the records. :p

Alright, the only thing I would say is that the world before the event is the world we're in now. So if that affects who your character was/is you might want to adjust for that. Also, the event itself can cause physical alterations in people making them look nothing like they did before. And as a power type it's more along the lines of Fire, Sensing emotions, Flight, things like that, so I could see your power type being something like Potion Making perhaps?

The reason that I make that suggestion in place of fire is that if his power isn't based in the ability to invent or build then it will never be as good as someone who is. So if inventing and building is a strong motivation for the character then you would want to have a power that lends to that.

And what I mean by the world we're in now is not that that's where this story will start, it's actually the real world as it is around you. And of course LJ e-mails always link something just quite note right so these posts didn't show as a reply to your post. x.x
