sumloozar and I are working on a project for a class, so your input on this matter would be appreciated

We have a final project in our gay&les studies class on religion&queers, so if you could please take a few minutes to fill this out and answer completely honestly that would be rad. Thanks!

What religion do you belong to?

Do you belong to a church or other religious community? Which?

What is your religion's stance on homosexuality? Your church's? Your own?

Does your religious community have a stance on any of the following aspects of the queer community: gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgendereds, gay marriage, gay adoption, gays in the military, gender roles, any other aspect you can think of? What is it? How, if at all, does it differ from your own?

Does your church/religious community preach that homosexuality is a sin? If yes, what does it say the consequences of this sin are?

Do you think that your church's sermons emphasize homosexuality any more or less than other topics? Why do you think this is the case?

Does your church/religious community welcome homosexual members? If so, how?

Do any of your religious/church leaders openly identify as gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered/queer? If so, how --if at all-- does this influence their job (in the religious community)? What are your feelings about this?
If not, what would be your reaction if you found out that one of your religious community's leaders is gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered? The reaction of your religious community in general?

Is there anything else you'd like to add?
