the "friends only" thing is on an entry-by-entry basis. it depends if you always post using the actual livejournal.com entry thing or if you've downloaded the little program...if you're always posting thru livejournal.com, then whenever you click..update journal, there pops up the little page where you can type...under the box where you type, there should be a place that says..."more options" or something like that....and the new page that comes up will have a little thing where it says "security level". THERE, you can pick friends. now...if you use the livejournal program..then at the bottom, go to post options and change the security level to friends...i hope that helped
