I awoke on Saturday morning to a sharp pain emanating from my right hip. Further inspection in the bathroom moments later revealed that the area looked bruised and scrapped, the type of injury resulting from a sudden and unexpected slamming of one's body against a much harder surface. I kept the finding to myself until Jess happened to notice it
