I think not knowing them probably makes the situation better. I don't think there's anything I could do or say to make you feel better, besides the usual "time heals all".
But it saddens me to see people "beating up" their significant other.
I don't need to heal. I need less stress and less drama in my life. They need time to heal. I feel fine, just pissed off that people will do this shit to each other and that I have to put up with it.
This is plainly stressing you even more than it's stressing me, but I'm glad that the college is stepping in to play the bad guy so that some change can happen without any one of us having to become an antagonist to Maxine or Shanise. I like each of them when they're not fighting, but ... we don't have to put up with their crap, no matter how legitimate their problems are, and I'm glad that said crap is finally leaving our house.
Wow. Sorry about the living environment. On the plus side, it seems like action is being taken to improve it.
A bunch of my friends who were going places where they didn't already have a good friend decided to get their own places without roommates for the start of grad school, to guarantee no drama... Maybe this is a good idea in the future.
Wow, I am really sorry to hear that. There is no good reason why adults should be unable to "act like adults" in a situation, and resolve their differences privately and maturely. I'm glad to hear that the involved parties are being removed.
Btw, are they roommates or housemates? I'm just curious because I wanted to know if this was something you could just go to your room and shut out.
It's impossible to "go to your room and shut out" screaming, especially if it's happening in the hallway. The walls are really thin. If someone down the hall is having sex, I can still hear the bedsprings.
I'm glad to hear that you guys are getting some sort of intervention into what was (is) clearly an abusive situation. I agree with darth_snarky that the word for that kind of shit is not "drama."
The non-student is banned from the campus and ResLife said the student might be forcibly relocated to the dorms because of bad behavior (hard drugs and illegal long-term squatting non-student)
