[The sun is lowering in the sky as River Tam steps out of one of the many shops along the main avenue in Luceti, her eyes sharp and piercing, yet at the same time dully reflecting the ruddy light from the sun in her two shining orbs of bloodied crystal

So she decides to go head to the village for a bit just to have something to do while she still keeps her mind on the houses.]

You know the other... It is irrelevant. [And just as suddenly as she stopped, she's moving again, with swift, graceful movements, she covers the distance between the two women, and leaps into the air, her blade swinging down to meet flesh]

Best to deal with her swiftly so she can't harm anyone else here. Erim materializes her sword out of nowhere to block River's own sword before it can meet her "flesh" that is really energy disguised well.]

It's not your time to die or mine, stop this now before you get hurt.

She's not quite fast enough and does get hit though if River is paying attention, the wound doesn't really bleed like it would with a normal person and doesn't appear to do much to the death goddess.
But since there seems to be no one else in the range of the spell, she's going to use it. With the effect this place has on her magic, it shouldn't kill, but if something caused this, it should remove the effect fast.]
Destruction wave!
[And for a quick note, this spell basically would do a small amount of damage and if any magical means caused River to act this way, it would remove it. Since I'm guessing that's not the case, it will do light wounds, easily dealt with via a basic healing spell.]

As it hits, she's knocked off her feet, her hand losing it's grip on her sword as she swiftly brings herself around in a neat cartwheel. Landing once again on her feet, hands held loosely in front of her.]

Best thing that could be done is to try and end this in a non-lethal manner and get her to someone who can deal with this sort of malady. A death goddess is not the person to be dealing with it.
Maybe the sleep spell? It doesn't tend to work against stronger monsters, but might work on a human. Can't hurt to try it at least since it's better than killing or injuring the girl further if she can help it. The spell is quickly cast.]
Fright!
[And yeah, that's the sleep spell. Spells in Lufia canon have weird names, I blame the translation.]

River staggers. The spell hitting her hard, the already weakened state she was operating in was not holding up against whatever it was that had got her in it's grasp. The young woman staggers a moment, dropping to one knee, looking up at Erim with hurt and confusion written across her face. Then collapses onto the ground, her hand releasing it's bloodied grasp on her weapon]

The goddess gently takes River in her arms and casts a spell to heal some of her wounds so there is no risk of bleeding to death and then teleports them both to the clinic. Hopefully there is someone who can be called upon to deal with this quickly because the spell won't last forever, maybe at most an hour if the girl isn't disturbed in the slightest.]

[(From there I suppose we can have someone else take over or something, I suppose she should be added to the potentially dangerous peoples list or something... x_x I dunno. Contact me on AIM at Garoganite if you want?)]

But actually, not going to say she needs to be added to the dangerous people list right away. More needs to be found out, but for now until Erim finds someone to help with River's mental state, she's going to use that sleep spell to ensure River is no danger to anyone. At least it is harmless overall, far more harmless than a blow to the head.]
