Okay, sure. It's happened once or twice. When he had a lot of projects, pieces, going at once. He couldn't spare the time to shower, and it's not like he had any hot dates to smell nice for.

Who would have thought the dead skin peeling away would look so much like cracking old paint?

He knows he should be working on how to get out of here, but the medication blurs everything into slow, soft grey, and it's easier to just lay in bed and read, instead.

The hospital was quiet and white, the only color a brown and blue blur towards the corner of his vision. "Mom?" he said aloud, his voice a rough croak. (scream sound like fire) But it was only a bouquet, flowers from a week ago.

It took him two months to realize that had been the day of the funeral.
