Oh I'm so sorry I missed that...We had a period from september to just now that I didn't have a working computer. I should be on a lot more now that we have a working one (although it's slow as anything). If you wouldn't mind adding me again, I'd love that. I really like reading about how you guys are doing!
btw, I dont think I've ever seen your journal--I always view through my friends page. I love it!
I wanted to reply to your bfing post in altparent but im not a member so i can't.
I've taken Domperidone and loved it. The FDA "warning" is a load of crap for about 100 reasons - it was for the IV form in high doses whereas the pill form is a low dose and not remotely the same, they want to push Reglan over Domperidone for a couple reasons. If a woman wants to relactated/boost supply using Reglan great, if she feels its too much work they recommend she switches to formula. Oh right, Reglan owns a formula company. How convinient. Reglan is also being sued for causing some life-ruining side effects whereas the worst things that can happen to you on Domperidone is "milk leaking from the breast" and dry mouth.
So yeah, if you can get Domperidone go for it but you also need to get off of the Pill ASAP. HTH :)
Thanks so much for replying about your experience!
I knew about the reasons for the FDA warning, which my lactation consultant said was in reference to the IV form and in high doses, with other circumstances too. The Canadian Medical Association argued their point rather well so I've seen the research that backs it all up.
Hopefully I'll be into the doctor this week so I can look into getting Domperidone and possibly the mini-pill. I stopped taking what I was on immediately after speaking with the LC but I'm not sure how long my darling boyfriend is willing to wait :p
