Myra pulls out her PINpoint and stares at the slightly garbled type for a moment, noting the address and feels her heart jump in her throat. She only takes time to grab her gun and holster, strapping it discretely around her waist below her shirt before pulling up the clinic coordinates, and jamming her thumb into the button.
Thanks to his alternate's post, The Shadow is aware of Myra's brief infirmity. He does not wish to appear overly concerned, and offering tea would feel... too informal, too social, and too likely to raise the eyebrows of his younger self.
He has time on his hands, however, working deliberately limited hours. The experiments in medicines combined with the lightened workload is improving the state of his lungs, but it leaves him restless and ill-tempered. It does give him time to procure a small stack of books, and a sampling of teas. What is PINpointed to Myra's apartment is a tall but neatly-tied bundle of 80's women's magazines, a handful of non-fiction books on everything from the women's rights movement to the impact of technology on society, and a poetry book by someone named Maya Angelou. A slim wooden book-box at the top holds teas, and a note in his elegant but slightly brusque hand.
Not an assignment, just educational diversion. Heard the last mission was costly.
What it means, really, is that he was thinking of her.
[[OOC: The Shadow would kill me, I almost uttered an aww.]]
Myra is pleasantly surprised by the stack that arrives at her apartment via PINpoint. She was just getting ready to make some lunch when it appeared. She had figured The Chief would notify the Old Tiger of her current situation, at least in brief, but she hadn't exactly been expecting some very welcome reading material and tea to help pass the time.
About 20 minutes after the package is received, a small tented card appears in the Rettigue apartment. The design on it is a delicate and exacting ink brush of the Chinese characters for "Thank you".
((You would be the recipient of a glower of doom, certainly.))
There is little decoration in the Rettigue apartment, but the next time she visits she is likely to find her calligraphy propped neatly on a bookshelf for display.

I'd be very glad to have lunch! Let me know what works for you and I'll see if I can get the time off.
