Annoyances

Nov 17, 2005 09:29

I've been having a little bit of blogger's block, so I thought maybe making a simple list would be a good first step for breaking through. And what's better than a list of Annoyances, I ask you? (Don't answer that or you'll make the list. Ha ha. Just kidding!)

So anyway, here goes--Myra's Incomplete List of the Lately Annoying:

You are NOT the last one, because I don't know who she is. And I was just thinking about her LJ and wondering what happened.

I have a pair of crankypants, too. They fit me perfectly.

Yay, Dot! Thanks for telling me that. The truth is, I only think I know who she is. I *could* be wrong--it's happened a time or two before. Alledgedly.

The mystery's still alive, c_b! Come back and taunt us!

Crankypants are pretty comfy, aren't they?

Oh, I'm sort of exaggerating. There might be a few people who are actively trying to get it taken off the air, but I don't think there's some big organized movement.

I hadn't even thought about them for ages and ages, but I remembered as soon as I started trying to think of a list of stuff that annoyed me!

(If you would like to be annoyed too--doesn't that sound fun?--check out the Max and Ruby message boards on the Nick Jr. website.)

This is the first time since I've started blogging that I get to reply to one of your entries! Yay!

There is a new place in Beaverton called Cartridge World, I believe. They will refill your ink cartridges. A color one was around $15.00, I think, and a black and white one $13.00. Something like that. The color one thrilled me. I hadn't bought a color one in forever because I didn't want to pay 50 bucks or whatever it is.

It's at the corner of Scholls Ferry and Nimbus, I believe!

No way! Cartidge World? Whee! Lisa, thank you so much! I'm horrible with directions, but I happen to know just where that is. Yippee!

And yay! from me too.

Yes way! Isn't that great!?

Yeah, there's a Burger King there, and some little shops behind it. Big Town Hero (my favorite sandwich place) is in there too.

Ooh, cheap ink and yummy sandwiches--now that's a good combination.

Oh. My. Goodness. closet_blogger November 17 2005, 23:27:13 UTC
An amazing coincidence. I was totally gone from Blogland for a long time. Life got crazy. Now, I want to assure you that I wouldn't have ignored Blogland because of the Regular Crazy that is my normal life, but things got Absolutely Totally Crazy Crazed And Then Some! That's the main reason for my absence.

A couple of days ago, life got back to Regular Crazy, so I decided to check back in and see what's new around here. And look what I stumbled upon! Myra misses me! AWWWWWWW!! I am so touched. And so glad I popped in at just the right time to see this.

Thanks, Myra!!

Yay! She's back! Oh, I *did* miss you. I'm so glad you're back to Regular Crazy. Now, go write one of your fascinating and/or hilarious posts.

But I can't! It's crazy around here! closet_blogger November 17 2005, 23:57:58 UTC
That's too much pressure for me. How about if I try to write a mediocre, boring post sometime in the next week or two? (First, I have to have a major sub-fest, because I hear postage is going up!)

I could always write about my broken, lost hairbrush, but I think that's been done to death. And I doubt I could do it as well as you, so why bother?

Hee. I think you must thrive on pressure--look at that funny remark you just made.

pressure pressure pressure pressure

(Just kidding. Do take care of thyself, honey. Write mediocre and boring and any time you want. I'll enjoy it whenever it comes.)

Did somebody say postage is going up??

When? Do I have time to get some subs in the mail?

I know! Totally, lame, huh? But yes, you've got till January. Sub away.

Okay, I hate to use you as 1-800-POSTAL-INFORMATION, but what happens after January, if any editors pop my SASEs back into the mail and there's not enough postage on them because the postage went up while my SASE sat around for a year...

Oh, I hadn't thought about that. I don't know. I guess it would be smart to start sticking extra postage onto our SASEs starting now. Sigh.
