It seems Chile have voted in the first female president, she is from the socialist-republic party from the "Concertacion" or Coalition government. She is taking the reign from Ricardo Lagos (another Socialist), its ironic that Chile which is usually a religious Catholic country has voted I'd say the First Female Agnostic president =D

I've added Chile to the list of places I wish to visit because of this. It is rather refreshing to see church and state being fairly resolutely seperated while most of the rest of the world is doing the reverse. Even here in australia family first is managing to gain a foot hold much to my disgust!
