It's the little things that make the shitty stuff worthwhile

So I am sitting in the living room enjoying a little bit of silence and Alex cries. I go and pick him up out of his crib and he just grins from ear to ear to see me. We smiled at each other for a few minutes and then he grabbed my hand with both of his and fell right back asleep on my chest.

When I'm feeling down I offer to babysit at my sister's. I know that at some point one of the kids will wake up, look for their mother and then decide I'm just as cuddly and fall asleep on me. Warm little body, looking peaceful, cuddled up around me, sweet bliss.

I have the added bonus of being able to hand them back though, lol!
