My son versus his French teacher...

I'm an adequate cook. Meat and two veg. My son, on the other hand, says he wants to be a chef when he grows up, and practices by frying up his own breakfast every morning. I suspect he believes professional chefs are famine-proof, so come the Apocalypse, he'll be all set.
