On Friday I took the sandals back and exchanged them; I now have a pair of Rockports waiting for summer. I then went to Harris Scarfe, had another look at toasters but was undecided, finally I found one on the oddments table that was exactly what I needed. German appliances are the way to go. They're often more expensive but it pays off in the end. We just bought a Miele dishwasher and it is the best thing we've ever done appliance-wise.

I agree; we have a Bosch dishwasher in the corner of the kitchen waiting for the renovations to start. After washing dishes by hand for over 2 years I can't wait; Les bought it 2 years ago to give me hope. The past 2 years have been horrendous.

I am fascinated by your location in Tasmania. Many interesting mineral species call Tasmania home. Glad you found a good toaster. The one we have is white. I had to chukle reading your obit for your old toaster!

Yes there are many fascinating mineral specimens here. You would be as happy as a pig in mud, I suspect. Crocoite and Stichtite are 2 that come to mind.
