We went off to the supermarket today to stock on some things we needed, including icecream. It was a cold morning with the thickest fog we have had this winter, so waiting around for buses wasn't a great deal of fun. The toaster blew the circuits??? And now it's wrecked?

Flu vaccinations alwasy make me tired and draggy for a couple of days.

This morning I tried the toaster on another powerpoint (not in the kitchen) and it worked perfectly, so it was the p/p at fault. When we bought this house we had it rewired but the electrician cut corners and didn't do the kitchen because he didn't think it was necessary. This is the 2nd time we have had problems with kitchen p/p's, but when we renovate the kitchen shortly we will make sure that everything is as it should be.

I'm so relieved, as I was enjoying the new toaster so much, and didn't feel like having to go back to the shop and convince them to give me a refund.
