Here we are heading into autumn (well, here it's still 38ºC) and you're approaching spring. I love it when the buds swell.

I love it when the buds swell too, since it means spring is coming. I'm glad we don't get to 38C here, I like to be warm, but can't handle extreme heat anymore. How is your garden looking? I do love that stunning rose icon.

My garden is very sad after the rigours of our summer heat. It will start perking up in mid September and we'll have fall blooming. Summers here are so very harsh and many thigs look dead even though they're just "sleeping" until cooler weather arrives.

I'm going to try to coax my roses to bloom this fall. It doesn't always work but I figure lots of watering and a bit of fertilizer next month may help.
