Yes, it's a mess now but hopefully as soon as the preliminaries are done it will go more quickly. I know how horrible renovations are as we have walls knocked out and additions done here three years ago. It seems to drag on forever but it's so worth it. I hope your installers get their act together and work consistently until it's done.

I asked NIck this morning how many weeks he thought it would take to completion of the job, and got an evasive answer. In the meantime the banging in the kitchen continues, I'll be surprised if they manage to get all the tiles up today. Smoky is not disturbed, though - it takes a lot to keep him awake when he wishes to sleep.

Poor you. I hope it all gets finished soon and you can get in and give the place a good clean.

Thanks, so do I. Needless to say the rash has grown considerably worse this week. Smoky is coping well, nothing inteferes with his ability to sleep, it would seem. Just to make things more complicated Les has called in a firm to redo the paths. They are laying formwork now.
