Progress in the kitchen.

It's 1.35am on Day 1 of Week 8, and I'm happy to report that finally things have started to move again. Ahhhh...sweet progress!
I can't wait to see your finished kitchen!

I need somebody to clear the weeds in my garden. It's looking horrible these days but I'm painting and don't have the energy to do both at once.

Sigh...

I always remember my grandmother's cat when you mention Smokey. Hers was Smokey, too.

The weeds will wait until the painting is finished. Gardening is a full time job. I wish I had the energy and strength to do the maintenance, but I am not capable any more, so we are both truly grateful to have found John; apart from anything else he can tell a weed from a garden plant. Most of the so called gardeners that we have employed in the past few years couldn't even do that!

Gosh I hope they finish the kitchen soon, 2 months is a long time.

Cats are funny critters as we both know well :)

Yes, it has been a long haul, and I am so looking forward to reaching completion. Even when the cabinets, etc. are completed we will still have floor and window coverings to consider, as well as painting. The kitchen is the coldest room in the house, so we need window coverings with the heaviest possible thermal coating, and also something on the floor that will keep it warmer underfoot.

Cats are funny critters, that is what makes them such delightful companions. Smokey is an Australian Mist and has the nicest temperament of any cat I have lived with. Like all the others I love him to bits.
